Tried their aloo paratha, channa chawal, anda paratha, samosas, and halwa poori. Everything was excellent with well balanced spices. Really surprised and delighted to find authentic Desi food in Connecticut. Even better than Desi food in Queens NYC. A must try!

We went to this place, and the food was absolutely delicious! We ordered Halwa Puri, Kashmiri Chai, and Samosas — everything was incredibly tasty. It honestly felt like I was in Karachi, enjoying Puri. This was my first time tasting food that truly reminded me of authentic Pakistani cuisine. Highly recommended! The staff, the owner, and everyone working there were so kind and welcoming. Most importantly, the hygiene was excellent — everything was neat and clean. And to top it all off, the prices were much more affordable compared to other desi restaurants.

it's a small, cozy, family-owned restaurant, and you can feel the love in every single dish. I had a feast that was nothing short of perfection: the halwa puri was warm and comforting, just like something from a Sunday family gathering. The samosa chaat was a masterpiece of flavor, and it's clear the ingredients are prepped with care and a deep understanding of what makes a dish truly special. The fried chicken was a surprise hit. crispy, juicy, and packed with that authentic spice blend you only get from home-style cooking. And of course, the lassi was the ideal finishing touch, thick, creamy, and made with a personal touch. The whole place has a lovely Lahori Punjabi vibe, and you can tell it's a labor of love. It feels like you're being welcomed into someone's home for a truly fantastic meal. If you want delicious, authentic food served with warmth and hospitality, this is the place to be. Samosa Hut is a true family treasure.

Ordered a Zinger Burger combo, Chicken Over Rice, Veggie Samosa, Chicken Samosa, and Mango Lassi. Fries were fresh, hot, crispy and lightly salted. The Zinger Burger is definitely one of my favorite Chicken Burgers in the Hamden area. The Mango Lassi was also made fresh and was delicious. The chicken and veggie samosas with the chutney sauce were crispy, seasoned perfectly, with the right amount of spice and the sauce is a very nice pairing. The chicken over rice was fresh, delicious, well seasoned and the rice was prepared well with a healthy amount of white sauce. 5/5 and I will definitely be returning to try more!

Worth the drive ! Great food and ambiance! Small but a mighty spot with great potential just because their food was great !! Samosas and halwa puri was spot on . I only wished they did have mango pickle on the side too. 4 stars; only because I asked if they had mango pickle and the young guy who took my order to go for halwa puri & samosas said yes they'll put it in the parcel !! My bad I didn't check before leaving the shop. Was disappointed a bit when I opened but food was good and worth it to visit .

I finally got a chance to try their Halwa Puri. Walked in a few minutes after they opened so seating wasn't an issue on the wkend. Puri wasn't drenched in oil and fresh. Chole were true to breakfast style and had great seasoning, usually a lot of restaurants will make chole they can use for entrees and serve that for breakfast as well, there's a distinction. Halwa was good, not too sweet and good consistency. Coming from Jersey where we have tons of choices for halwa puri breakfast, this one did not disappoint as I've tried a few in CT. It'd be even better if they opened a bit earlier on the weekends.
